Worth Valley front page news again!

Exterior Visual – Worth Valley Shopping Centre

After successfully gaining detailed planning permission Worth Valley Shopping Centre continues to hit the news.

Click here to read the latest from the Keighley News.

Commenting on the planning approval and news that Cineworld will run an eight-screen cinema on the site, Stainsby Grange’s Development Director, David Williams said…

“This is fantastic news. We have worked hard over the last 8 years to assemble the site of 5 acres from nine different land owners to be able to put forward a scheme of a critical mass which will help re-focus Keighley as the Airedale destination with shops in a format that retailers want in the 21st Century. It is important that Keighley has a new retail and leisure scheme to allow it not only to keep pace with developments in Leeds and Bradford to where a lot of the natural trade leaks but to re-capture that trade.

We are already in discussions with a number of national retailers, restaurant and leisure operators. We are pleased to be able to confirm that the country’s largest cinema chain, Cineworld, has agreed terms and got board approval for an 8 screen cinema as part of this development. In the current climate deliverability is a key issue for retail operators and as we own the whole site the planning permission is the missing link to allow us to accelerate and focus our discussions with the operators.”
